Case Study 4: Interpretation
Performance:
• Button Press Accuracy is usually within the normal range
• Median Reaction Time is prolonged most of the times
Features:
• Patients with TBI show a decrease in P3b amplitude that is usually accompanied
by normal peak latency. It is possible that the decrease in P3b amplitude is limited
to a subset of electrodes, producing an value in the table that is normal or close to
normal, but a L/R asymmetry in P3b amplitude can be observed in the traces on
page 3 of the Patient Report
• Unless TBI is severe, N200 amplitude and latency and P3a amplitude are usually in
the normal range
EEG Features:
• In patients with TBI PAF is usually low, indicating suboptimal overall cognitive
performance
