It is possible that the sensors are well connected to the scalp, yet the channel is still registering a signal/biofeedback that exceeds the threshold. That biofeedback can be induced by the patient or the disposition of the harness.
If artifacts continue to occur on a single channel, there is probably a connection problem between the pod and the scalp. The following are steps to resolve the connection problem. They are listed from easiest to most involved step.
Step
Problem
Resolution
1
Maybe the biosensor has not penetrated the hair
Press biosensor lightly into scalp
2
Maybe the biosensor is not pushed in far enough
Confirm depth of biosensor by slightly raising the pod and resetting the biosensor with fleshy part of finger.
3
Maybe the scalp is not properly prepped or not enough WavePrep solution has been applied.
Raise the pod and reprep the scalp with additional WavePrep solution and the cotton swab. Release the pod and lightly press the sensor into the scalp.
4
Maybe the biosensor has been pushed too far into the pod.
Replace the sensor by lifting the pod and pushing the sensor all the way from the top all the way out of the pod. Reprep the scalp with additional WavePrep. Insert a new sensor and ensure it is proper depth. Lightly press the sensor into the scalp.
