NOTE: The test protocol should be downloaded into the HCU prior to applying the Headset on a subject.
Before placing the Headset on the patient's head:
-
Take note of your patient's hair type, if hair is curly or long, or if the patient has a side-part, then part the hair down the middle BEFORE applying the headset
-
Loosen the Backstrap (see
Harness) but do not disconnect the snaps
-
Loosen both sides of the Chinstrap and unsnap one side.
![1](drex_bullet_1_3.png) Place the Harness on the patient's head as centered as possible.
|
Snap both sides of the Chinstrap.
|
The Earpiece should be approximately 1/4 inch above where the ear connects to the head.
|
Make sure the Mastoid Pods are directly over the mastoid bones.
|
Center the Forehead Pod 2 finger breadths above the browline.
|
Tighten the Backstrap to bring the Electronics Module in contact with the head.
|
Readjust the straps to ensure that the chin is centered in the Chinstrap (the chin should poke through the hole in the center of the chinstrap)
|
Adjust straps on both sides to center the ear in the Earpieces. This is done while pulling the Earpieces down around the patient's ears.
