The Harness consists of 7 recording electrodes (Fz, Cz, Pz, F3, P3, F4, P4) according to the 10-20 system, 2 linked mastoid electrodes (M1 and M2), and 1 common electrode integrated into a comfortable, user-friendly design. The Electrode Pods are attached to a net of small diameter elastic tubes. The Harness is held in place with an adjustable Chinstrap and a Backstrap at the back of the head.
EEG signals are picked up via a small metallic ring inside each Electrode Pod. This ring does not actually touch the subject’s head. Instead, the Electrode Pods provide a port into which Biosensorsare inserted. The Biosensors couple the electrical signals from the subject’s scalp to the metallic ring.
Backstrap H1202
Used to secure the Harness on the back of the head.
NOTE: Upon signs of significant wear or breakage, the Backstrap should be replaced.
