Open the Single-Use Kit and remove the foil-wrapped Biosensor package.
Tear open the foil pouch and remove the plastic tray.
Set the cotton swab and foil-wrapped cleaning wipe to the side.
NOTE: Be careful with the plastic tray as the cover can come off and the Biosensors can fall out.
4. Peel the adhesive liner from the bottom of the plastic tray and affix the tray to a surface near the subject.
5. Open the Waveprep® container and replace the container in the tray with the open side up.
6. Remove the cotton swabs from the paper wrapper. These will be used to prep the scalp.
7. Open/Print the Quick Start that displays the ordering of electrodes.
8. Before prepping the scalp with gel ensure the following:
If the patient has particularly long, thick or curly hair, it may be necessary to move pieces of the hair between the rubber bands of the harness
Ensure that enough hair has been moved aside so that the electronics module is sitting flat against the back of the head
9. Follow the next 5 steps for each electrode before moving on to the next electrode:
10. Use the stick end of the swab to part the hair under each Electrode Pod to expose the scalp, part the hair against the grain to move it effectively
11. After the hair is parted, dip the cotton end of the swab in Waveprep®, lightly tilt the socket, and prep the scalp under each Electrode Pod. Make sure to count 10 small circles on the scalp under the Pod and sweep the hair away when withdrawing.
NOTE: For Bald Patients, prep the scalp with 10 small circles, wait, then prep the scalp again with 10 small circles for a total of 20 circles per socket.
12. Tilt the Electrode Pod and carefully insert a Biosensor.
13. Press the Biosensor with the fleshy part of the finger until it is flush with the Electrode Pod.
14. Release the Electrode Pod and press lightly into the scalp
