The COGNISION™ System uses a rechargeable battery. Full charge can be obtained in 3 hours when using the included charger. This should allow the system to operate for a full day of testing. It is recommended to charge the HCU between testing sessions as needed and not to keep the HCU always connected to the charger.
Before downloading a test, ensure that the HCU has enough charge.
To charge the HCU:
Connect one end of the black charge cable to the connector port on the bottom of the HCU
Connect the other end to a wall outlet or computer USB port
Each battery bar represents approximately 10 minutes of test time
After each use, the Headset should be inspected per the following to ensure proper function for the next test:
The rubber tubes should not show signs of significant wear or cracking.
The Backstrap should not show signs of significant wear.
All cable insulation should not show signs of significant wear or cracking.
NOTE: If any items show significant wear they should be replaced. See the Parts List for replacement item numbers.
Shipping
The COGNISION™ System should not exceed the following temperature extremes during shipping: 0°F to 120°F.
Storage
When not in use, the COGNISION™ System should be stored in its case. This will prevent any components from getting misplaced and will prevent the Harness or HCU from becoming damaged.
